For collegiate, veterinary technician, and veterinary students, Custom Livestock Solutions has rotating availability for interns and externs to ride with our vets. Applicants should have prior experience working with large animals. Undergraduate applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.

 

We ask for at least a two-week commitment from students to intern/extern at CLS, working alongside and learning from our vets Monday through Friday (excluding holiday closures). Students accepted into this program will spend each full day during their time with a CLS vet. The official veterinary hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but depending on a day's appointments, may require students to arrive before 8 and may end past 5.

Please note that CLS is a mobile veterinary practice and is not set up as a teaching hospital. As such, we are unable to guarantee that any particular skill, appointment type, or laboratory work will be able to be taught, demonstrated, or observed during an intern or extern's time with us.
