Dr. Strickland represented CLS at the Georgia Dairy Conference in January.

CLS proudly sponsored the Three Rivers Invitational Bull Riding at the Forum in Rome in January. Dr. Josey was able to attend and represent our team.

Members of the CLS team joined forces with our sister clinic, Comer Veterinary Hospital, to attend the 2025 Comer Christmas parade. It was a cold but fun day spent waving to our neighbors and handing out candy to kiddos!

Dr. Josey wrapped up our first-ever BSE Day in mid-December 2025. This event was a great success and we look forward to offering more such opportunities for CLS clients in 2026!



Dr. Goggans spoke briefly at the October meeting for the Clarke-Oconee Cattlemen’s Association, sharing details about CLS and the importance of beef farmers establishing a veterinary relationship.
CLS joined forces with our sister clinic, Comer Veterinary Hospital, at the Madison County Harvest Festival in late October. Vet assistant Lexi brought her pet goat, Penny, and CLS client farm Big Sandy Creek Dairy brought Gouda the Holstein calf for kids to meet and take selfies with.

Dr. Chamlee recently represented CLS and our sister small animal clinic, Comer Vet, at two area schools. She spent a full day at Madison County Middle talking about veterinary medicine and leading students in vet team trivia, then switched gears to teach elementary students about what it’s like to be a vet.

Dr. Josey gave some students their first agriculture experience at a recent Ag Day held in Cave Spring. She spoke about her experiences in vet school, as a production vet in Iowa, and now transitioning into running the CLS Northwest satellite truck.

Each fall, our local Chamber of Commerce hosts Scarecrows in the Cities, a competition between small businesses to decorate parts of town. Please meet the newest member of the CLS team: Dr. Skellie Strickland! She’s a bone-ified expert in cattle breeding and loves palpating cows.

Marketing director Dallas and Dr. Strickland spent a Saturday at the Hart County Ag Day in August, introducing visitors to the field of large animal veterinary medicine. We caught up with clients in the area as well, and enjoyed networking with fellow industry professionals.

Dr. Strickland was honored to be invited to give the keynote speech at the first National Youth Cattle Working Contest this fall. Students from across the Southeast gathered at the University of Georgia to compete in cattle handling skills.

— 40 Under 40 —
Dr. Strickland was named as one of the University of Georgia’s top 40 Under 40, a designation honoring young leaders who go above and beyond in their career field. He was able to attend several events just for honorees, including a sky box at a UGA football game!

— Chamber Leadership —
Vet assistant Cheyenne was selected to participate in the Madico Made High Potential Leaders Program this year for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. This program is designed to nurture and empower emerging leaders in our local community who are committed to making a lasting, positive impact in the county.

— Business of the Month —
Custom Livestock Solutions was selected as the July 2025 Business of the Month for Madison County. We are so proud of this accomplishment and what it means for how our services and team have grown in the past nine years!
