Founded in 2016 by Dr. Tyson Strickland when he graduated veterinary school, Custom Livestock Solutions began as a way to blend his medical expertise with his love of agriculture. He saw the need for Georgia livestock producers to have reliable, consistent, value-based animal care without compromising their farm goals. Presented with this problem, Dr. Strickland chose to provide a solution.

 

As the practice nears its 10th birthday, CLS has much to celebrate!

Not only has CLS experienced the physical growth of moving from one vet in a makeshift carport toolshed to five vets in a full-size building with a modest retail store, we added a sixth vet in a satellite truck. Our client base has grown from primarily cattle farmers to include a wider range of livestock patients. We are able to care for production livestock, "pet" farm animals, and work with large animals cared for by multi-species nonprofits.

 

Today, the CLS vets service beef and dairy cattle, equine, pigs, and small ruminants. Our vets work in an ambulatory capacity, seeing animals via farm calls, though select appointments may be seen at the home office in Comer.

 

The headquarters team based in Comer, Georgia, has a primary service area in northeast Georgia into South Carolina, with emergency coverage to clients within an hour of the office. Our satellite truck, managed by Dr. Scout Josey, covers the northwest side of Georgia and provides emergency coverage to clients within an hour of Rome, Georgia.
