Farm Visit Appointment Charges and Payments
Each veterinary appointment handled by Custom Livestock Solutions is charged a trip fee (based on distance from either the Comer headquarters or satellite truck hub) as well as time and fees for specific services rendered and medication given. Trip fees are not charged for situations where patients are brought to the Comer headquarters for examination and treatment. In addition, appointments may be charged fees for emergency, same-day work-in, and after hours service. See the fee schedule below for additional details.

Telehealth Appointments
Telehealth appointments may apply for emergency, sick, triage, or health paper-related situations if veterinary medical advice is provided over the phone, but a farm visit does not immediately result. After patient history is obtained, your vet may offer the option to do an over-the-phone telehealth appointment instead of or preemptively to scheduling an emergency or sick visit to your farm.

Emergency appointments include downed animals, prolapses, large wounds, dystocia, severe illness, colic, neurologic symptoms, equine ocular concerns, end-of-life, and other urgent cases. If you're unsure if your case is an emergency or if it can wait for a scheduled appointment, please don't hesitate to call and ask.

Same-Day Work-In Fee — Same-day fees are applied to non-emergency, unscheduled appointments where a producer or owner requests same-day service to be worked in between a vet's already scheduled appointments and emergencies.
-
After-Hours Fee — After-hours fees are charged for veterinary services rendered outside of normal operating hours, such as after 5 p.m. on weekdays, during the weekends, and holidays.
Please note, an appointment may be charged one or more fees on top of the trip fee based on the circumstances of the visit. Fees are subject to change.
